I'm loving this new almost Grecian feel to Demacia

The architecture here is very much pastoral Greece. People were already making a few allusions to the Colossus of Rhodes, but you can notice that these similarities are even more pronounced now. I think it would be great if Demacia was pushed to a Grecian feel, maybe even if Noxus got some Roman allusions to match.

You know what this reminds me of? Mount Olympus, from Disney's Hercules.

Establishing distinct architectural archetypes for Runeterra is great, but I am just really in love with what this is hinting at and I hope it is further explored.

I hope we actually get to see this sort of stuff in-game

would be fuckin' amazing to see more maps of various places, even if they're just reskins of the Rift or Treeline or HA, playing new Galio on a special Demacian map would be a thing of beauty

Yes my feeling too. Thats why I like the new design so much. Love mythology especially Greek.

Potential for a "golden Galio" skin there. (Like " colossus of Rhodes")

Imo Demacia could be the interpretation of the old Greeks, Freljord of the nordic Viking Culture, Ionia Japanese Culture and Noxian the old Ottoman Empire. (isn't Darius a Persian name for King?)

Both Demacia and Noxus seem to have more Middle Age features compared to the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, there might be a reference though to the early split of the Roman Empire with some ancient likeness.

Also Mt Olympus in LoL is Targon (which is used by Demacia as a sort of death sentence) :P

Noxus has plenty of Roman allusions: it's a militaristic society ruled by a general/emperor who's constantly waging wars in order to conquer new territories. When a new land is annexed to the empire, they erect monuments that symbolize Noxus domain and they enroll locals into the army with the promise of land and wealth. They also make abundant use of the colour red to show their fierceness and might.

Ever since i've seen a particular post here in the boards, I cant help but look at how Galio's tail is hitting someone's house.
