If Lux and Ezreal don't even know each other (as is given away by the new Lux VO)

Well lux only says The Line to _enemy _ Ezreals sooooooo imma still ship it __

They haven't met yet, but given that both enjoy exploring the wilderness and one of them has carte blanche to go basically anywhere, they could still meet.

Also because not everything on the site is properly updated

Maybe it's Riot's plan to try to keep the shipping alive even thought that one voice line negates the entire shipping.

I've thought this through and come to a conclusion.

Just walk up to someone you never talk to and say: "Aren't we supposed to be dating or something? We've never even talked!"

Seems like a pretty wierd and random thing to say unless you are supposed to be dating that person. It makes a lot more sense when you think about the fact that Lux is likely annoyed that Ezreal hasn't said anything to her (other than "you belong in a museum") the entire match because they're on opposing teams (she only says it to Ezreal when they're on different teams).

Also, it would tear more holes in the lore if Riot just decided to throw that out because - with the exception of Gangplank and Illaoi - they have what is probably the most canon ship in the lore.

Well, they DO know each other (since there is a canon picture of them together and what the uncle of Ez says)... the thing is that they dont talk each other, its different.

they could still be friends , colleagues , companions , enemies :p

It's a bit slow to update. But yeah, I think Riot sunk the ship pretty thoroughly.
