Hey, how about some inventive skins, @Riot

After seeing the PBE update with Deep Sea Nami and Soul Stealer Vayne, it seems a bit apparent that Riot is starting to run out of ideas. They're alright to me, but... Nothing more. Simply that. Alright. And don't get me started on the "10 gems gets you a skin, but you'll have to spend >$250 to get it" gimmick.

  • The Nami skin looks decent, but she's an angler fish and... Isn't she already from the sea?

  • The Vayne skin is pretty much Kalista, and it'll probably get that overused, almost tacky spoooooooky sound effect to her voice even though she's supposed to be AGAINST black magicks, but whatever.

Vayne and Nami have PLENTY of skins, plus Nami just got one pretty recently.

Can people actually have their voices heard as to what champs need skins, anyway? Can we perhaps get skins for, oh, I don't know, mages? Juggernauts? Does it ALWAYS have to be the marksman + support combo that already gets enough attention as is? Or the flavor-of-the-month champions? I feel like my only posts are about this issue, and I'm going blue in the face from repeating myself. I know Riot is a business, but there's 131 champs out there. _Others need skins more. _

I don't expect Riot to respond, or even if they did, to give an answer besides "_________ will get a skin eventually."

But this is a very obvious problem, and people have been noticing.

And her release skin was her as a Koi fish. I don't see the issue here considering the immense diversity of fish species that exist.

I don't really have anything to say here because nothing about the skin really strikes me as odd or appealing, but then again we haven't even seen what the visuals are like; only static images (at the time of me typing this).

I mean, on patch 6.11, literally the patch that's still live for a few of hours before this post we had skins for Volibear, Dr. Mundo and Gnar. We also got a big patch this year with some very expensive skins for Lissandra, Sion and Soraka.

Always? This doesn't happen that often. Thresh + Varus is coming up, but before that the previous support + adc combo was Draven and Tahm Kench, which was also shared with Vel'Koz and Maokai, who also have a lack of skins.

Everybody needs skins, including Nami and Vayne. You might say they have too much, but this is Nami's fourth. There is no such thing as "too many skins" until said skins start cannibalizing the concepts of one another on an individual champion. They'll get their skins, just not this time around. That's just fact. Sion, Kassadin and Kennen are all recent examples of old, seemingly forgotten champions in terms of skins getting new, high quality skins in recent times. It'll happen.

But did you not see the sea monster in the tidal wave?!

I see your point on the marksman / support thing, but deep sea Nami has been a concept around for awhile and it looks sick.

speaking as a vayne main, i don't really care that there is a skin that is spooky and against her 'I sense black magicks' witch-hunter attitude

Nami only has 3 skins (not counting her classic)

It makes sense for Nami to have skins based on different fish(thats why we got koi-nami),given the fact that she'll need to keep her fish-lower-body anyway. And the deap sea theme gives her an underwater-horror-theme which makes it quite different from her regular one.

As for Vayne: Its not uncommon for darker heroes to become the things they hate. This skin pretty much shows Vayne using dark magic to hunt dark magic users,she fights fire with fire.

Oh yeah its always the support+marksman combo,like in the latest patch where we had skins for Gnar DrMundo Volibear or the one before that with skins for Fizz Shyvana and Kindred ....

Sure it happens now 2 times in a row(dark star skin line this patch and these 2 skins in the next),but in this case it is likely just a coincidence. After all you can't even buy Soul stealer vayne directly,so it's not like you can buy these 2 skins just like that.

I doubt that this can affect them that much,considering that Vaynes playrate has been high for quite some time(so it can be hardly called flavor of the month) and Namis playrate increased only recently(which would be long before they even made this skin). Also they just gave us skins for Gnar and mundo who are both rather average(or even below average) in terms of playrate. Sure this patch will come with a new thresh skin,but also with a new varus skin and varus is one of the least popular adcs.
