Caitlyn can’t catch a criminal who openly flaunts she is a criminal at every opportunity she gets.
Ekko failed to save his best friend and then went to get revenge rather then be there for him until like the fifth time.
Jarvan has been needed to be saved like 3 times as well as failed to stop his great grandfather from being killed.
Shen’s Order is falling apart at the seams with his fellow ninja killing nearly everyone he cared about and Akali not believing in his ways anymore.
Kai’sa kind of is though but that is more used as a plot device to get her champion design in.
Don’t know Irelia’s current lore.
I think I’d have to hear your definition of Mary Sue.
My understanding of a Mary Sue is a character that the writer hasn’t given flaws or writes them in such a way that their clear and obvious flaws do not effect them negatively in any real way. While other characters or the setting itself are warped around them so they can continue acting without consequence. This is often done by making those around the Mary Sue either fall in love for no reason, or act incompetently to make the Mary Sue look special.
To me the only Sues I’ve seen thus far have been

. Both of whom fit the obvious flaws that the writers don’t treat as flaws category for the character. And make other characters around them/the setting look incompetent by their existence.
On your list. I’m most curious about how Jarvan fits. Since calling him out as a Sue would imply to me that he does something. Rather than have his entire lore be about how cool Garen and Shyvana are.
I just want to know why you think Shen is a Mary Sue. I'm really trying to understand.
Kai'sa is the only true Mary Sue on the list.
