Lowering details on Ashe ultimate's arrow is in my oppinion a bad call from Riot's art department.

Problem's with Ashe's R was always extremely obvious. Arrow proper was much smaller than the actual hitbox of the ability. Fixing that by making it bigger is definitely a good call.

HOWEVER, I DONT SEE HOW LOWERING DETAILS ON THE ARROW MAKES ANYTHING BETTER

While I agree that "old" arrow was kind of a jumbled mess of various ideas thrown together just for the sake of making it look cool, this new arrow looks like something a person on his/her first year of graphic design studies would staple make in half an hour in blender. This looks unprofessional at best and hobbyist at worst.

Most other effects are absolutely fine, no question about it, although I'm going to miss those cute sparkles that linger a while after Ashe's E. It's just that the model of her ult's arrow looks so damn bland and uninspired. I understand that it's important for all abilities to be clear to read but come on. On one hand you make arrow bigger and more readable but on the other hand you put those snowy fog sfx all over it, which kinda defeats the purpose.

I would like a arrow shaped hitbox to begin with, not a circle around the top of it.

I wish they kept the old model but changed everything else. That new model looks too fake and weird.

Disagreed with OP. I would sacrifice alot of aesthetics for readability. The thing's going to be on the screen for 1-3 seconds at a time. I think the bland fog effect does just fine at conveying the message "this is cold", while also not conveying the message "this is part of the hitbox you need to avoid".
