"Cadence giving thoughtful commentary on something not pertaining to Jhin? She must care a lot about this." No, not really. Just doing my job, which is pointing out things you guys may have missed and/or collecting all the points into one location for better viewing.

Now let’s talk about the next new champion we plan on releasing into the wild. This new champion will be a solo lane AD assassin. It’s been a while, I know. There are very few of these types of champions in the game and we know a lot of you love playing them. This champion’s arrival will send you deep into the jungles of Runeterra where a brand new faction, hidden from the rest of the world, will reveal itself. This assassin has powers which give them all the elements they need to use their surroundings in clever and innovative ways.

Trespassers beware and stay away from the walls, for nowhere is safe when you enter deep into these jungles.

Starting off with her initial teaser in the roadmap to refresh everyone's minds, highlighting the key points. Now, lets look at her new teaser and those points I highlighted. https://youtu.be/sVuWMbmHEWw

  • Into the wild: She's from the jungle, or a civilization in the jungle, going out to explore the world beyond it.

  • Solo lane AD assassin: She doesn't give me this impression, honestly. Nothing about her says "assassin". She's an empress, so she says "ruler" or "warrior", but not "assassin". She also sounds like she'll be heavily reliant on her abilities, which gives me more of a mage impression.

  • Brand new faction: Ixaocan. She is of the Ixaocan.

  • Powers: Obviously elemental in nature.

  • All the elements: Grass, earth, and water.

  • Use their surroundings in clever and innovative ways: So what you're saying is that she can possibly manipulate the river, the brush, and the walls?

  • Stay away from the walls: Again with the walls. What can she do to them?

  • Nowhere is safe: Again, this gives me the impression that she can control the surroundings on the map to make you feel like you're not safe. The brush isn't your friend. The river isn't your friend. The walls aren't your friends. You're alone now. Good luck.

Assassin was meant to describe her in-game role, not her lore. Very Champions in-game role doesn't always match 100% there lore occupation.

Why did riot have to Choose that name for the area?

It is way too similar to Ixalan, Which is also a Jungle area with an incredibly powerful Relic hidden within.

Im wondering if either:

A) Its Earth (forest) , Fire(magma/molten earth), and Water

or

B) Wind (Forest)- mostly due to the animation style, Earth, and Water

or

C) Wind, Fire, Earth

I dont see Grass as an element in its own, nor forests (depending on how/whos definition for elements you want to use) In fantasy, grass/trees/etc tend to be an extension of the "earth" element, or a separate element usually "life" or something.

Im very curious to see what this champion does

So I'll be waiting until she comes out to give my final thoughts, but here's my first impressions of her kit and attitude/VO.

Kit

  • Honestly, I think the elements and the way you use them are unique.

  • She does have dashes, but only one(her E) looks to be problematic in my opinion. Her W appears to be short and not really reliable to dodge something and/or catch someone.

  • Her stealth is in a small patch, but the problem is that you can spam it by hitting W on brush after brush and then hitting Q. Still better than some stealth, but still annoying.

  • I assume her ult/wall abilities work on Anivia's wall as well?

  • The ult is just insane, really, considering that you have the potential to combo all 3 of the elements in one ult.

  • I feel like giving an assassin some hard CC like that is a mistake. I feel like assassins are supposed to just, well, burst you to death without needing to stun/root you in place. We'll just have to see how frustrating it is, I suppose.

Attitude/VO

  • The short chick with a magical hula hoop is going to conquer us, apparently.

  • I have a feeling I'm going to hate her. Seems like a bitch if I'm being totally honest.

  • She calls the enemy apes. Okay. I thought we weren't allowed to do that.

  • I will probably enjoy killing her in-game just to shut her up for a few seconds. I know Jhin would.

Based upon her mastery of the elements, I am going to guess she can toggle between the three elements. Each element will enhance her base abilities in a different way: Ice will add a snare to her abilities; fire will add some kind of damage over proc to her abilities; and earth will add some kind of "tank" element to her abilities.

Given her weapon, I am going to presume that she will be a melee fighter (not an assassin).

I think she might have a different way to assassinate through different methods depending on where her target it.

For example An ability that changes depending on her location. So in the jung, River and in lane.

and her ability(s) Will have three different variants.

So maybe a knock up, Root or Just extra damage.

Is she really short? In that first teaser she looks way shorter than humans and so do the others around her.

I feel like she'll have some kind of vine ability.

She'll be able to either snare you near jungle walls or swing about on them for mobility.

Why? Because I suggested it years ago and really wanna see someone with it.

I think that technology that Taliyah and Azir originally had (changing Summoners Rift's geometry) has finally been perfected and this is the champ[ we are getting it on

Maybe she uses her tribe people as some sort of trap, but she will probably have traps. Maybe one trap unique to each part of the map. Or maybe on ability based on water, one on jungle, and one based on land, and her ulti could be all of them combined.
