Conqueror Varus Feedback

Honestly, the splash is so beautifully polished and It really does look lovely- but with that being said I think it needs a slight change, particularly to the chin.

His gorgeous base splash art shows him with a rather pointed chin, more so a V, while Conqueror makes his chin much more broad and U shaped, and this is a small gripe, but I think it’s just another nod to the fact that there needs to be more cohesion passes for skin, and base splash arts, and the models. I’ve said this quite a few times, but I think recently, there hasn’t been enough check up to make sure that every piece of a champions art looks like that specific champion. I mean, each champion has their own features that make them look like themselves, for example, MF has her freckles, red hair and supple lips, and Taliyah has her broad nose and darker, more tanned skin- but more than once has MF’s freckles been removed, or Taliyahs skin was lightened up and her nose was made smaller. I think these are things we really have to focus on as artists.

This may just be my personal complaints as an artist- but I think that it’s really important for a champion to look like themselves in every piece of official art made for them- and the new Varus splash is no exception. That is not to say that I don’t think he looks stunning, and that the composure of the art is extremely well done- it’s just his chin that makes him look less like Varus and more like Jayce, or something.
