Shadow Isles Lore Update

I was reading Malicious Metal's character Study on Mordekaiser. Link here:https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/lA9B67Mz-mordekaiser-the-iron-revenant-a-character-study

It got me thinking about Shadow Isle Lore, and I took his idea of Mordekaiser as Conqueror and applied it to the lore. This lore is a post-Death update to him, and explains his place in the Shadow Isles.

Morde dies as we know from the Noxus lore update. From there, an interesting fact is that the Shadow Isles Creation is potentially the next thing to happen. By shortening the time length to 20-30 years, you could have Mordekaiser's servants invade the blessed Isle's and use the sacred water to Resurrect Mordekaiser, Kicking of the Ruination. He would then be bound to the mist, using it to expand his new empire of undeath, gathering power to spread his influence. It would implement him as the Ruined King, something that would really fit his lore as a dethroned conqueror, and also fill a major hole in League lore. (No champion is currently the Ruined King)

Champions Lores who would need a touch up as a result

Kalista Kalista - She's a good person before the ruination, hard to justify her working for Morde. Perhaps loyal to crown through family ties but finally shattered when shown the goal of Resurrecting Mordekaiser, Someone who was king while she was a child.

Yorick Yorick - Maiden is the Current Ruined King's Wife. Could be re-written as his head Necromancer bringing him back.

Thresh Thresh - Eh, you could leave him untouched easily enough. Maybe implicate him in helping Mordekaiser's servants find the lake of blessed water that was the heart of the Blessed Isles.

Hecarim Hecarim - He would be far less conflicted than Kalista. Honestly just make him the same story (not literally) as Kalista but then side against her.

And that would Wrap up the lore. I think this would condense lore by quite a bit, as well as just give him a much healthier place in the lore, rather than a very abstract reason why he doesn't just leave the mist now and return to Noxus.

There are no contradictions in the lore of the Shadow Isles and everything seems to be updated. As Sharjo said, there is no need to rewrite the lore of the Shadow Isles.

Also, the Maiden is NOT the wife of the Ruined King, the Maiden is an amalgamation of spirits corrupted by the mist given form, or something like that, not a single creature.

The only reason of why you, or anyone would want to change the lore is because you want to make Mordekaiser the Ruined King, even if it makes no sense (Morde doesnt have a sword) and it contradicts the quote of Swain: "A king remains in the mist, and another marches."

https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/5/5c/Swain_158.ogg/revision/latest?cb=20180124090850

That quote means that there are 2 kings in the Shadow Isles, one is the Ruined King and the other one is Mordekaiser (Ironic that none of them is King of the Shadow/Blessed Isles)

Changing the lore of the Shadow Isles now, would mean that tons of quotes of different champions towards the Ruined King Sword should be updated as well.

There isn't a need to rewrite the Shadow Isles; it was all rewritten with the current power dynamics in mind:

Morde, Kalista, Karthus and Yorick are the main folks in command of parts of the Mist in varying ways.

Thresh and Hecarim don't give a shit and just kill shit.

Maokai is the only one not all about the Mist.

The whole Isles were specifically reworked such that there were multiple facets rather than just all of them being an army of evil undead. There's rivalries and power struggles there. It works. There isn't a need for a rework.

We already got 2 shadow isles lore updates,so I don't think there is a need to reupdate it all over again.

That would easily destroy the trust that riots writers have managed to rebuild after the initial retcon.

You miss a very important connection between Thresh and Mordekaiser.
Thresh became corrupted and Began to torture sentient items in the vaults. Mordekaiser a being of pure malice who feeds in Pain resided in those vaults.

Mordekaiser corrupted Thresh warped his soul so when the Ruination occurred he became the champion he is today. Thresh is Thresh because of Mordekaiser
