Temple Jax looks awesome.

I agree a lot of splashes got messed up, but these two seem fine
I like the pose on the new Temple Jax, but the background looks cheesy. Like if somebody used photoshop effect brushes to make his art more cool and hip when actually its doing the opposite.
You seen Sinful Succulence Morgana yet? that's the most ruined splash art out of all of them.

Jax isn't really an upgrade or downgrade. They're both equal, separate styles.
You're honestly just biased on that one, though they could stand to remove the ink spatters and make him look like he's a part of the environment. Makes it look like an edgy desktop background edit. That said, the original splash is VERY old, and Jax as a whole is likely getting a VU soon, skins included.
Neither of Noct's Cryo skin variants are good. At least the original looks like Noct, though. China's looks like Bane cosplaying as Nocturne.

Tbh I like Jax and Swamp Kennen's new splashes. They feel more ninja-y to me
