I don't know about the nexus, but the Illaoi mains have voted for a different skin...

It's been posted on reddit, where (probably) Illaoi mains gather (including me). I'm sure not everyone is on reddit, but still the % vote on the nexus doesn't look very... real. I'm still happy for Battlecast (or for any other skin Illaoi would have) and i bealive you guys will do a great job! (i'll surely come here again to tell you my feedback)

Ps: My point is that the riot data shows that Illaoi mains voted for the Battlecast skin. I know many votes might change things, but the reddit one is not nearly as close to the riot one (who knows what riot did xD) With the discussion that broke up on the boards, they might have chosen the skin themselves (i'm clearly not serious, i'm just supposing stuff)

Everyone in the community was able to vote for the skin, not just Illaoi mains. So even if all Illaoi mains voted for example for Adventurer Illaoi, we could have still got Battlecast Illaoi since there are probably more people not playing her at all. ^^

EDIT: According to Riot's data, which is most likely more accurate then this Reddit poll, the majority of Illaoi players/mains voted for Battlecast as well.

i know that everyone could vote it. That wasn't my point anyway. In the riot data it showed that Illaoi mains had voted for Battlecast, while on reddit they said otherwise

Well, reddit simply is not a legit source in that case.

Riot has the actual data of everyone who voted for the skin and how many games of Illaoi these people have played. They got accurate data from every Illaoi main who participated in the vote.

Meanwhile reddit just shows the people participating in the reddit vote, but not everyone who voted for the skin and is an Illaoi main automatically voted on reddit as well.

i don't really trust everything a person says (that's me i know, i've got my own ideas). the 45% 30% and 25% numbers are really strange too. Eh be it what it is. Riot decides for the skin. Not us/me, and as i said i'm not against having a battlecast skin, Illaoi looks badass there.

First off Illaoi mains were more biased towards Battlecast based off Riot's data, which completely goes against your poll. Next, Reddit is simply not a large enough sample size of Illaoi mains (or league players) overall to make these kinds of conclusions. For example /r/illaoi consists almost entirely of NA and EU players and there may have been some shared consensus in these areas, while the Riot poll was across all regions. KR, BR, OCE, etc. may have liked Battlecast far more than the remaining two. You may see people on these forums and reddit complaining but if you go to the other regions forums or online communities you will likely see them celebrating, or ironically, wondering how the other "lame" skins got as many votes as they did.

I consider myself an Illaoi player, but I don't browse or post in the subreddit at all. I'm happy Battlecast won.

i'm happy too. I had voted for the adventurer one but changed my opinion pretty quickly after reading posts on the boards. My point in this thread was that riot may had messed with their data xD (there've been so many bugs these patches, you can't know what else may go wrong)

No this board reflects a tiny spect of riot larger playerbase. You also factor in the fact that majority of the voting power most likely went to places of china.

People here tend to get full of themselves when they think that the board are the sum total of the league community.

You know that those who are ok with Battlecast being the next skin have no reason to vote on that poll(while the others want to voice their disappointment with the result and hope to change it),so it makes sense that battlecast has far less votes there than it has on the official poll.

this sucks so much WHY NOT ALL 3 BLITZ GOT 2 AND HE HAS TONS. not only its not the best ( adventurer jut look at the tentacles and the story potential ) BUT THE WORST ONE WIN, I LIKE THE BASE ONE MORE THAN THAT SKIN I LIKE WOULD BUY IT ONLY IF IT WAS -1350 RP. i think its really unfair that half community who are probably edgelords and play only yasuo kayn zed and teemo vote for something they will never play and obviously they have to choose another EDGELORD skin like UGH I HATE THIS. X im crying X Amumu

don't take riot word's that the community chose for the skin. They might have just needed an idea of what the community liked, but not the definitive answer. The battlecast skin is really not bad, Illaoi looks badass. All they need to do is change the hand into something cooler and everything is fine

compared to the others it is AND IT IS SO EXHAUSTED THEME we dont have a single adventurer skin AND NO i dont want it on someone else she is perfect for it just look at the vines. The hand looks terrible ik but even without it tentacle isnt anything special and she looks ugly. as partially fantasy game i really think we need more magic and fantasy rather than another scifi and edgelord

adventurer wouldn't have gone up to 1350 rp skin anyway. The tentacles look so plain (that's why, even tho i voted for adventurer i started liking battlecast more). Tentacles are Illaoi. They need to them right and i'm ok

ahem its vines it would look amazing when they add the details AND its so fitting the battlecast one look plain its just scraps of metal put together, tentacles of her are alive and plants are alive that could have been good, even the creepy deep space oil would be acceptable as a living or mutated fluid or something but this is just plain and annoying
