Some people just smile while going up against enemies, I suppose. Hardly surprising considering they should be pretty confident about their power since it's not only not ordinary, it's supposedly packs cosmic level of punch.

EDIT: Also, given the gist of the art, it seems the "Ahri team" arrives unexpected as a reinforcement for "Lux team". They're smiling because of "we're here to save the day".

It's obvious that it isn't a genuine "Hey, look at me, I'm sexy" smile. He looks like he is giving some effort to channeling. It looks like his teeth are out, anyway. Ahri is just like "like yeah, I'm fighting an evil god, hashtag working hard."
