Notice a difference? Beatrice's perch is on the wrong side.
If you're going to give a champion some much-needed love, at least do so accurately. Come on now.

But because of the mismatching sides, according to the art, Swain's LEFT leg would be the one that uses the cane, and not the RIGHT one. He's just lopsided in comparison to his lore and game model. As someone that's played hundreds of games with the guy, details like that get under my skin.

Swainey Todd1 votesThat would bother me too because it's inconsistent; but it's not like the Blitz grab changed arms suddenly, or something like that. Swain's bird and cane, however, are central to his lore, kit, and even how he moves. It's a tad different, like Creator Viktor's robo-arm being the wrong arm.

but if it was flipped it would be completely hidden by the Champion skins and info on the client
GaleWinUnleashed1 votesThat's why it doesn't work. They can't put him in a pose at this angle with Beatrice on the correct shoulder without her being mostly out of the frame or Swain himself being partially covered up by the champion info.
It's possible the splash may have been created this way first, with correct orientation and everything, and then flipped to fit into the client later. But that doesn't seem likely, given that Riot knows perfectly well that most of their art is focused on the right-hand side due to the layout of the champion pages.

GreenLore1 votesSome splashes are flipped,thats not really anything new. The new bloodstone taric splash is also flipped for example.
