Just gonna point out that Rek'Sai isn't on the runeterra map in 'shurima'.
Went to look for her territory earlier today, couldn't find it. she isnt even listed as a shuriman champion.

She is, zoom in a little and look to the south east of Shurima. She's grouped together with the other void champions.
She is not form Shurima but from the void. She just lives in Shurima now. Should be in the right low corner on the map where ichatia and the Void rift is.
Rek'Sai doesnt really have many lore bit on her, perhaps she was a Sandswimmer that got knocked of their normal migration pattern and ended up getting corrupted by the void.
