My one selfish hope for Tales of Runeterra

As we've all seen in yesterday's "Universe in 2020" dev video, we are getting animated shorts which will be focused on showing and telling stories about champions and regions. With that being said, we don't know how these are going to be divided. Will there be only one for each region, will it be random, etc, etc...

I personally hope to see one with Kayle and Morgana fighting. Why?

For one, they are two of my favourite champions. But also because I would very much like a break from the Sylas/Lux/Garen trio. Kayle and Morgana would, in my humble opinion, offer an amazing visual experience, light and dark falling on the city from the sky. They would also provide an interesting story, as I would personally like to learn more details about what happened before and during their fight.

I personally doubt it'll happen, because it's something that happened far in the past, and that I do think Riot would prefer to show something of the current era more focused on their already established storylines. And also because they aren't popular enough, but that's another matter!

We'll see how these animated shorts go! I hope we'll get some good surprises and not only popular champs. Shen is actually a good surprise!

What about you? Who would you like to see in Tales of Runeterra?

I'd like to see the Shadow isles or the void (like an actual glimpse inside the void) I'd not like to see more Ionia, so fucking tired of everything Ionian.

I would like to see something with my boy Aatrox for sure : ' D maybe him fighting Pantheon or him wrecking Tryndamere's tribe. Aside from Aatrox things though... I'd like to see something set in Shurima preferably with someone other than Kai'sa as the star. Taliyah would be nice, as would Azir or Nasus imo.

I can't settle on a specific champion, but I would like to see something about Yordles and Bandle City. As it says on the Universe site, "Opinions differ as to where exactly the home of the yordles is to be found, though a handful of mortals claim to have traveled unseen pathways to a land of curious enchantment beyond the material realm. They tell of a place of unfettered magic, where the foolhardy can be led astray by myriad wonders, and end up lost in a dream..." Also, looking at the variety of Yordle champions, there are some who embrace technology, others who are magical, and then there is Teemo, friendly one moment and a remorseless killer the next. I know that there are stories, but it is a different experience to actually see a thing, and Bandle City is one of those things that has to be seen.

Skarner

His story is one of the best Riot have as potential due to not only what he is but his plight and the crystals he is made of. His entire species is the reason Piltover seems to function and trade. That's some big stuff as at some point as he is currently searching for them, he will arrive to Piltover. Do those that took the crystals know they were taking them from living beings? Do they care? Do those that use them in Piltover know? Do they care?

Also, anything on Yordles or Yorick.

But alas, I doubt we'll see any of this. Probably just see more Akali and Sylas. :P

I'm just hoping they don't sit there and only show the most obvious champs that they'd pick for literally anything as usual. Jinx for example, as popular as she may be, is the star of the upcoming animated series. There's really no reason she should get one of these too.

I will always love to see Targon and Targon champs featured in a cinematic/ animated short. Although I am already doubtful of it with Tales of Runeterra: Soraka, Zoe and Taric seem like the only available Targon champions for an animated short based on their current activites in the lore.

I'm predicting Ionia, Demacia, Zaun, Piltover, Freljord, and the Shadow Isles receive shorts this year.

I'd like to see alot of the lore animated over the years. Arcane got me hyped for possibly seeing animated Ori in action... although the latest video said the focus would be Ekko and... Jinx?'s childhoods.
