New champ is out, and guess what everyone’s complaining about?

That she is to much like a Disney character.

Kayn comes out, everyone complains how he is to edgy and serious. So Riot makes a new champ thats the exact opposite, cheerful and bubbly and goofy, rveryone complains its not dark enough to fit in League universe.... make up your mind people, do you want serious characters or not?

There will always be ppl that complain. The ppl that complained about kayne are probably not the same ppl as the ones for zoe.

Ivern is a Disney character. No one complains. New champion is just a bubbly little girl, everyone throws a fit.

God damn it.

Middle ground is the best type, like Taric. Too far in either directions gets obnoxious.

I prefer serious characters. I loved the stoic serious humor of Ornn, first new hero I liked in years.

The problem is, Kayn’s not really a serious character. He reads more like a 90s dark age comic book protagonist. You know, those that rage at nothing and wear black leather because it reflects their dark brooding soul. It’s such a juvenile attempt at being serious it rolls right back along into comedy again.

As to the new champion. Meh. People will complain. Let them. If you like her, play her. I don’t so I won’t. That’s the beauty of having some 130+ champions in the game.

Yes.

EDIT: No, but seriously I think even one single player can want to play really different champions sometimes. :) Like sometimes I'm a Morgana and sometimes I'm a Bard.

To me, her facial proportions and apparel doesn't suit the context that is Runeterra. The fact that the eyes make up 1/3rd of the face can be explained due to her being a child, but our other reference, Annie, doesn't share this trait.

We know both are most likely humans but for some reason Zoe's model looks like it's ripped straight out of a Disney film.

That's my main concern to be honest, I really like her hair and over all colorscheme and her kit looks super fun. Hopefully Riot will take a more suiting approach regarding her features.

Only thing I'm complaining about is her being mage. Because she will delay next mage champion, which the class I main.

I think LoL "needed" someone like that, but wish It wasn't mage. Our last mage, Taliyah was also lighthearted. And before it, Aurelion Sol, is also not grim voice lines wise.

  • I like Taliyah, I main her (not in this account), but she still wasn't what I wanted when I saw her (could be same for Zoe too anyway).
  • Aurelion Sol disappointed me, but he is still a good champion I play.
  • Azir is the mage I wasn't disappointed and was pretty excited, but he is not a traditional mage.
  • Vel'Koz is the last classic mage that satisfies my tastes in next level. Like everything about this champion is perfect.

Zoe is too funny for my tastes. I like lighthearted characters but they require some of seriousness, like Taric, Taliyah, Bard.

Whatever, I may change my mind. I didn't like Kayn in the first seconds, same for Taliyah and Camille.

That's not the point (atleast not for me).

The point is that the style of the model heavily represents the style of Disney Pixar movies, in Overwatch for example that's fine because all of them are. Because i love the modelling style of Pixar/Overwatch.

League's style has always been Cartoony, which is one of the reasons ppl prefer it over DOTA for example. The thing is, League's cartoony style is different. Look at Ivern, he's disney as fuck. But he still has a different modelling style. On yordles this style could fit because of their facial proportions.

Also alot of ppl want something in between. Like Jax for example, he's the Grandmaster at arms and probably the best fighter in the lore. Yet he's goofing around half the time. Teemo is this Cute little furball, but he's pretty serious in most other aspects.

Kayn is just discount sasuke. so an edgy lil bitch. Rhaast is alot more likeable because while serious he's also making jokes. and then there's ppl who like jhin/yasuo.

Well, people will always complain. My first impression of her isn't the best, tbh. They clearly intended to go for cuteness scheme with her, but I think they overdid it. For me she is a second Camille - her body proportions doesn't look like they are human. Not considere she doesn't fit in the Mt. Targon aesthetics at all. Also, I'm not a fan of personality, however we do need somethin new and light for Runeterra.

You can always count on the boards to complain

Think they may have over done it a bit on the cute/cartoony aspect of her character, though I'll get used, seems like she copies summoner spells or something though, she clearly uses flash multiple times in the teaser, apparently picking up orbs after her opponents used there spells to pull this off, I dunno, depending on her kit she might be one of those champions that's a blast to play regardless of how good or bad you are with her, but super annoying to go up against in most situations.
