As an OCE player I was pleasantly surprised by the new Totemic splash too.

My only wish however would be that Riot should look towards our part of the world for inspiration more often. Why does East Asia get more attention with new skins and/or champs? There's plenty of unique cultures over here to inspire interesting skins or even do some world building with. Fingers crossed.

Most champions still look somewhat similar to themselves even in new skin lines. Khazix is still visually himself. Orianna's ball is the only thing that is really recognizable of her.

As long as something is recognizable then it shouldn't be a problem. She still has the same voice, the same moves, it's not like they gave her a full on remake just for the skin xD

I kinda want a Hecarim skin that looks a bit like Bane, even though I know Bane flies instead of running. That would be a neat Void skin for him, though I wonder if people would rise up backlash for it specfically because it looks like Bane.

The Maokai splash is fascinating to look at. All of the splashes are beautiful, but Maokai's seems to have a really neat story behind it.

I love kha'zix and seeing he got this skin is absolutely awesome! Too bad I suck at assassins >.> I use to be decent with him, but after switching to a new role & champ, I lost my skill with him, I remember getting him 3 times for ARSR and I sucked. ,_, It takes me way longer to even get decent with assassins then any other role, which sucks cause I love kha'zix and this new skin so much, but it's like is it worth it when I can just play a role and champ I'm better at. v_v; Tl;dr: Feelzbadman

If you mean splashes, he didn't need any changed as his are all modern. If you mean skins well then he wasn't eligible for one. He has his rework on the PBE now, so he's back on the eligible list for skins in the future.
