Aatrox vs Mordekaiser

This matchup is almost always being mentioned from Reddit to Youtube in everything affiliated with one of them.

So I'm interested in who would win in this matchup.

Scenario 1: Current Mordekaiser with his ghost army vs Current Aatrox with his, for the sake of the match, own army.

Scenario 2: Current Mordekaiser vs Ascended Aatrox in a classic 1v1 fight.

Aatrox feats: Fought against the Void and won, killing a spiritual god similar to Ornn, killing Pantheon, and mastery over blood magic.

Mordekaiser feats: conquered the Runeterra twice, slaughtering thousands of warriors to the point of it piling up on the ground, and mastery over necromancy/spirit magic.

Who do you guys think would win and why? Am I missing some of their feats?

If you don't agree with this matchup then could you please tell me if there is merit or exaggeration in their feats?

Thanks for the answers in advance.

Aatrox is by far the most powerful of the Darkin, a being stated to have killed spirit gods before. Despite his tremendous power, Aatrox can defeat Mordekaiser with a large enough supply of bodies regardless of the presence of Mordekaiser's army. More importantly, Aatrox may have a way to permanently slay Mordekaiser by severing him from Mitna Rachnun; as he says himself, he does not bring "death", but "oblivion".

And no, Mordekaiser can certainly not take on all of the five remaining Darkin by himself at once. And no, Mordekaiser can most definitely not survive the Void. Don't overestimate his capabilities.

Well I’m going to give Mordekaiser the edge due to his knowledge in magic. Aatrox’ Blood magic can’t really affect the Tinhead, and if anyone can understand and use magic powerful enough to destroy a Darkin, it would be Mordekaiser.

I somehowe doubt that’s Aatrox has the magical know-how to permanently destroy Mordekaiser, if even just killing Mordekaiser is possible.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that Mordekaiser could take on all five of the Darkin, at the very least, the three we’ve already seen.

As for the respective armies, I’ll give that to Mordekaiser. Army of ghosts tends to outmatch army of thralls.

I'd think of it in more terms of 1v1, and the problem is this battle really has no conclusion.

For one, if either of them lose, nothing comes of it. When morde's armor is completely ripped apart, he just goes back to the death realm and waits to return. If Aatrox's form is killed, the blade (the real aatrox) is still there. I'd give morde a slight advantage because if Aatrox wins Morde just dissappears, but I'm pretty sure Morde could do what he wanted with Aatrox's sword, I don't think a Darkin can corrupt a suit of armor that's possessed.

Mord would win, easily. Aatrox is old, worn out and weak. He is no longer anywhere remotely close to his prime, and cant even exist for an extended period of time since no host can actually handle his weakened power.

If any of them come prepared beforehand then its just pointless infinite battle where both counter the other one in some way. This match up is the same as 1v1 between 2 tanks with regeneration that is bigger than is incoming dmg...

Reviving necro- threads which already had their time to shine is against Universal Rules and as such I will be locking this thread to make sure it lands at the bottom of the howling abyss. I would strongly encourage looking at how old a thread is before commenting on it.
