Yone should stay dead Riot.

You'd think Yasuo wouldn't feel that much guilt if he didn't literally killed his brother. His death is what made Yasuo determined to find the Elder's killer.

Sure, Yasuo's story has concluded but it doesn't mean that we should bring back a literally dead person.

Like, you may as well just bring back Orlorn, Setaka, Quinn's brother, and probably Darkwill.

Just don't Riot. Don't bring him to life.

Pretty sure they would not actually bring back someone who was truly dead, Senna works because she is kinda undead and Gangplank? Gankplank works because he can escape the death realm with the power of blood oranges.

Truly, not even a barrage of cannonfire can keep that pirate down, disarm him yes but it could not keep him down.

I get the feeling that if Yone is going to return, then as another undead creature. Maybe some kind of Ionian demon.

Yasuo would still feel guilt then, because his actions made his brother the monster he has become.

However, I really hope they were not talking about Yone here. If they really release another Ionian this year.... then this just proves that the champion design team has an absurd bias for Ionia and doesn't give a shit about other regions at all.

Everyone related to Yasuo should stay dead. Including Yasuo. Kill him off temporarily then have him come back with a reworked kit, like Gangplank.

I think Rioters have stated on Twitter that they are willing to release champions that don't exist at the same time as everyone else. If I remember correctly, they gave an example with Ryze's master.

I personally want the Ruined King

Setaka makes sense. In Where Icathia Once Stood, they very specifically use the word cocooned to describe what the Void did as it overtook Setaka. She wasn't eviscerated, she wasn't driven insane, her brain didn't melt, but she was cocooned. Now, as for "alive" it depends on your definition. Personally I would be more expecting a Void corrupted monster who also wields the fallen celestial magic that Targonians give to Ascended, which sounds insanely badass, but I wouldn't want her to just return unharmed either. If there is some stupid thing about Setaka being conscious and having her in control of her body that's dumb, but her mind becoming that of a ravenous beast and being used as a superweapon would be cool. Or, it could be like a Kerrigan in Starcraft 1 like thing, where she is sentient but connected to a hive mind she is not entirely aware dictates her every action. Obviously unlike Kerrigan I don't want her to overcome the trial and gain control of her destiny, Starcraft 2 basically beat the intricately told story of the first game to a pulp but that's another story.

All that being said I'm really not okay with them resurrecting people as a general rule. If they were only "dead" and not dead like Senna then I have no problems, and if there was an original hint when a character's story was told that they could return through some supernatural force or magical ability then that's all good, but dead characters who are truly dead need to remain as such.

I mean, the only reason bringing Senna back from the dead made sense, was that Lucian purpose was literally to liberate her soul. If now we start bringing back every dead character without rhime or reason, we shall have the same problems comic universes and Dragon Ball have with death.

It becomes inconsequential.

I read that as "you should stay dead riot"

I havent actually kept up with recent lore, but i was thinking that they were talking about that criminal that always left a card with a C on it in caitlyns old lore. not sure if he still exists int he new stuff.

I don't know about you but reading the title made me YAWN...

You yawned too didn't you?

Andevar1/15/2020, 6:44:00 PM1 votes

I hope Yone stays dead. Riot should bring back Du Couteau instead. It makes more sense if we’re trying to advance and expand on the lore.

I'm assuming don't bring him to life, game wise.

But for a writer standpoint, imagine how horrifying that would be for Yasuo. Hear me out.

Say in some twisted scenario, Yasuo ends up in the Shadow Isles, maybe with someone else accompanying that we know or whatnot. Both get themselves stuck in a situation that has them cornered and makes them see the worst possible things they could see.

For Yasuo, it would be Yone's grave at first, just nothing but him and that grave. Yasuo watches as a hand bursts through, and a revenant or half-skeletal Yone bursts out of the grave, with very graphic and horrifying details that give off this zombie, nightmare version of Yasuo's brother. Nightmare/Undead(UD) Yone could go off to say as, "Why didn't you avenge me, brother? You haven't kept your oath, and now you're coming with me."

Yasuo ends up having to fight UD Yone in a battle, ends up getting beat, Yone's about to kill him, but then Yasuo's broken out of it by the other person he was accompanied with, they end up fleeing out of there, who knows, maybe meet up with Lucian and Senna, I don't know.

Just thought this would be a good story idea, criticize me if you'd like.

But for real though, don't bring Yone to the game and/or as a playable champion, he could have more narrative potential, but leave him out of this.

MuffledGarbage1/15/2020, 8:42:33 PM1 votes

Why not like bring Yone back as a Zombie? like risen from the dead as his body somehow made it's way to the shadow isles, was brought back to life and has no memory of his past but lives on as an odd-undead ionian who is searching for meaning in life?

He looks too much like Yasuo visually, best to not release him imo. I mainly want Tianna to join us for whatever reason lol.

Maybe they won't bring him back to "life" - but as an undead or a spirit from the Shadow Isles.
