@Riot: Game mode Summoner Icons

So, Riot... can we like get a different champion for a change on future game mode icons? It's kind of gotten dull that they are ALWAYS Ziggs.

Like the upcoming one http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1aR134o7WE8/VOTtYL6EUYI/AAAAAAAAkNY/fhAJa_I77dY/s1600/profileIcon781.png is cool and all but can we see some other champions on these for once? I know ZIggs is a theme behind the game modes, since that's his hands and all in the drawings and what not... like he's "in control" of these modes but I'm getting kind of bored having a full arsenal of Ziggs summoner icons.

Vi offered to make them a new game mode, but "Punching Guys Through Walls" proved to be unpopular on PBE.

I get where you are coming from (You can only have so much Ziggs), but thematically, Ziggs is the only mad inventor in league.

Only some of these are mad inventors, as in not all there in the head. Also, Singed is a chemist.

This reminds me of silly comic book logic, where every scientist knows everything about anything science. "Oh, hello Atom, you are a physicist? Can you do this autopsy? K thanks." >.

Jayce is not a mad inventor, and isn't even as much an inventor as a super-man analogue as, say, Heimerdinger. Mundo is not an inventor, he is a medical doctor, who perform biological experiments. Singed is a chemist, your archetypal "mad scientist", minus all the evil robots and death rays normally associated with that demographic.

Heimer and Rumble aren't mad inventors. Viktor somewhat fits the theme of "mad inventor", but he isn't the "mad as in crazy" like Ziggs is. That guy literally got into his position because he made a gigantic bomb and blew up all the bad guys. Viktor, despite his ideal to make everything a machine, is very methodical. He upgrades himself as games go on, buying new pieces and improving each of his abilities. He is actually quite brilliant, just very misguided.

What if the icons would instead correspond to a champion based on the thematic of the game mode.

For example all for one would be shaco(because of duplicating),for the duel mode it'd be fiora,for doom bots it would be viktor upgrading the bots and nemsis could be some evil or chaotic champ.

I mean one doesn't have to be an inventor to create a mode.

Ziggs wasn't the icon for the Poro mode nor was he in any of the multiple icons for the Shurima-themed mode. There were no champions in the icons, but its something at least.

Well yeah, Poro king was Poro-centric time of the year so of course they'd better have had something else then... and then Ascension was alright icons but still most of the other modes have had a Ziggs icon of some sort.

Ziggs has three icons (OFA, Doom, and Nemesis). Coincidentally, Teemo has three icons as well - from Masquerade (though that is only for LA/Brazil) - the wiki says they are available to purchase on every server, but didn't see them on NA server this year.

Ziggs , he has replaced the other Yordle Teemo as the mascot of League of Legends.

That is why you see him in the icons all of the time. He represents mass destruction as the "Dean of Demolitions" and is a Yordle, and isn't necessarily a criminal.
