I'm getting a very Elder Gods vs Great Old Ones vibe here

From the Celestial Realms coming up against the Void.

Both groups of beings are absolutely, incomprehensibly inhuman. Both groups are beyond our normal reckoning of reality and follow ineffable motivations. And chances are, neither of them care one iota about individual mortals. If their interactions with people happen to end well for said people, then that's simply a side effect of carrying out their agenda rather than a goal.

I think it would be wise not to be quick to assume the Celestials are on anyone's side but their own.

Really, though, this recently released Lore is finally giving some inklings of context regarding the Void and the Celestial Realm. Good show, Riot.

Most of the Void creatures that I can think of actually have fairly defined, if mysterious, goals. Vel'Koz, Kha'Zix, and Kog'Maw all have ODD goals, but they definitely have them. The GOOs are completely beyond human comprehension, to the point that even attempting to understand them drives you mad. The Void creatures, on the other hand, are driven by almost human impulses: curiosity, mastery, hunger.

We're taking this shit all the way to the year 40k!

The Chaos Gods are a manifestation of thoughts/desires and they're sustained by it be they from Eldar or Humans. If Void Creatures in Runeterra are but manifestations of dark human desires it all makes sense now.

Riot planned this lore for decades!
