People who DO like Fiora's new art, say Aye

Fiora's going in a good direction, and she is objectively further within the style of the game. Her palette has changed, she has smoother animations, and tbh I like Riot's recent art style. They consistently do a really good job, and I don't think it's right to be so hard on them. Her face looks fine.

And so does Ahri's.

My point was that some of the criticism is rather crude, with words like ugly and terrible thrown around, when the real reason is because the character they liked was changed. It's alright not to agree with the direction they're going in, even though riot has a different vision for the character. But the people arguing that the art itself is poorly done have their feet in their mouths.

If you think what they're doing is bad (and don't get me wrong, I don't think all they've done recently is bad, Tahm Kench's splash art is great), it is perfectly right to be hard on them. Much like how if you think what they're doing is good, it is perfectly right to praise them.

But could you explain how she is "objectively further within the style of the game", and then explain why that is inherently better?

The art is mostly okay, but it does have some actual, legitimate problems, like her seeming lack of a hairline, her off-model left leg and, you guessed it, her incredibly severe facial features with weird red coloring that makes her look drunk.

But frankly, them changing Fiora for the fuck of doing it is really all the reason needed to say it sucks.

But yeah, I hate a lot of the criticisms too, because they shoot the message. Threads like "Oh Fiora used to be so sexy now she's ugly" fuck over the people who have legitimate arguments. Downvoting any thread or post that tries to debate it does this as well. For example, I have not downvoted you once, but you have, at this moment, -4 votes.
