Aside from being fucking gorgeous to look at, with amazing particles and a kickass recall, his VO is incredibly deep and complex and is a huge love letter to the Divine Comedy, especially Inferno. Thank you Riot. Did you at all actually research Dante while making the skin? I wouldn't be surprised, because there are some pretty clever allusions there, and I can tell his taunts towards specific champions will be thematically appropriate to the nine rings.

Gatekeeper Galio was one of the first skins I ever purchased, but I always felt let down because it never lived up to its 1820 pricetag. Now I am beyond ecstatic I own the skin. Gj Rito wp

Really? In comparison to Galio feeling fresh, Gatekeeper doesn't feel legendary in comparison. Too many shared animations(taunt, dance, etc) for a Legendary in 2017.. but the same thing happened with other old legendaries reworked, Firefighter Tristana comes to mind. It's A REALLY GOOD skin, but not something I'd pay 1820 these days for and since I don't own it and there's bargain Galio skins that feel pretty awesome too coming out.. I dunno.. I have this problem with a lot of VGUs.. the 520s seem crazy bargain and the more expensive ones seem like kind of a rip, only because the standard bar of all the skins of the champion is brought up so much. Sorry for the mini-rant, It's really good and the work on it is amazing. I just wish all skins were able to come down price-tiers over time. Locking them in because of expectations is just weird.

the rework team just doesn't have the budget to bring it up to modern legendary standards. but its pretty damn good. I don't really care if the dance is the same personally, the voice over and recall are the things you feel the most

Don't get me wrong, Gatekeeper Galio is a fantastic skin, one of the best.

That being said, I kind of prefer Commando Galio. He just looks awesome and is the best commando skin out there.

may I say my opinion? if not, I will simply say that I think Udyr's recent skin (can't remember the name) looks much better both in client and in particle effects in game

to me, this kind of looks like they couldn't decide how to color the champion or what theme to give, so they gave him a bit of everything

this would actually make a better skin for Aatrox than Galio

I like the VO and particles (the wings and his E OMG <3) the most in this skin. Only thing I don't like are his new horns - with the old ones he could ve looked more like a "Balrog".

But imo this, standard and especially Enchanted (with later added particles) are my favourites.
