Seems nothing changed except the mention that Nami's race, Marai, are vastaya. Glad nothing crazy happened in the retcon :3

Yeah it always seemed a bit odd that they never specified a connection between the 2 before,especially since they were released so close together...

Its like if they had kept it a secret that Kha'zix was the being that took Rengars eye.

My guess is that it's either a Void rift, or it's the same thing that screwed Naut over, assuming they aren't one and the same. Man, I'd love to have read the story of Nami venturing down there.

I just want to mention a theory I once read and it would be extremely cool if its true...

What if.... Illaois god, Nagakaborous, is a void creature? Think about it. We know that there is some darkness in the ocean from Nami. Maybe we are talking about a void rift and a large void creature here. We got the voidbringer skin for Illaoi and Aurelion Sol has the quote "You don't understand your god, Illaoi". Nagakaborous makes Illaoi test people for their strength. Void creatures are consuming and some of them (like Kha'Zix) are getting stronger that way. Maybe Nagakaborous wants Illaoi to find food for her.

Nagakaborous hates undead and it is explained because they are "not in motion". What if the real reason Nagakaborous hates undead is because they don't have any consumable substance and are probably even a threat for the void because of that?

Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but it would be great if that would turn out to be real and we are going to have a great void war again.

Yes, but I can not find the time to directly link and quote. However if you dont mind a bit of reading, it's during the Burning Tides stories. I believe void creatures can be seen among the mist during the fighting with MF + Lucian VS Ghoulies.

I really hope it isn't Void related. As much as I like the Void as a thing in the Runeterra world, I don't want everything to be tied back to it.

And Nami is basically what happens when the girl next door gains super powers and given a mission to save the species.

Yes but there is a clear difference between Lore and In-Game experience. I understand why its possible in game in the same way that Malphite is the same size as Sion....

Just think it would make more sense in Lore for Nami to be water based character and not floating around on land.

I'd never picked up on the fact that Diana was who Nami was intended to find from her old lore. Given that a Moonstone is an actual name for a real world rock, I just assumed it could be anyone.

Im glad they exlained the ritual the marai has to take for their survival. For me, it was always a mystery. I am also glad they kept her story line while also explaining more of her people. Now all im waiting for is a story about kayle and the angels (if they are called like that).

#feelsgood Glad the didn't destroy #bestfish lore like they did with the other's. When i got to the part where she came to the solari village i was totally expecting "nami's raises her staff and drowns all those bitches, cause nami gives no fuks, and nami will destroy all who get in her way!" lol and yes, i'm still jaded AF about the targon lore
