@Riot, Let't Be Real Here, Is There Still A Narrative Team? If so, What Do They Do Day to Day?

I believe that to me, and maybe many other players, this is a mystery.

In most of the Riot departments, employees seem pretty open to talking about what kind of stuff they do day to day, and who is in charge of what.

That's always been part of Riots charm.

For some reason, the past year or so, Riot's narrative department has become shrouded in mystery.

None of their members will respond to threads on the forums consistently (although to be fair, the lore forum was neglected before too.) and for some reason, neither identities or even the pseudonyms of some of the current narrative team members have been made known to the players at large.

As a player, it almost feels like there isn't a narrative department anymore, considering how few and far between lore updates are.

@Riot, could we get some more info on the narrative department and what kinda stuff they work on day to day, so that we can better understand the reason for LoL's lore being the way it is?

lol. You think Riot is transparent? That is laughable.

Because the community outright hates their direction, and they don't really want to change it.

But it's OK. Narrative promised they would do better with communicating with us. Instead of Soon(TM) it should be "We'll do better(TM)"

Keep wishing.

My guess is narrative team is a hobby side project for Rioters from various departments who get together once or twice a year to discuss their favorite anime and manga (no, not books, series or films) and based on those impressions they put together a couple of short stories which they then try to recreate with means of cosplay and perform little acts for various community events such as birthdays at the company. If they receive a positive response by their co-workers, who also find reddit comment chains extremely amusing, they passionately incorporate their works into the actual game.

I remember the huge thread Jaedan and whats his face were in.

I don't have any faith in Riot Narrative. I have faith in skins, and that's literally it. Champions...only one I liked was Rek'Sai and only game play wise. Literally, only gameplay.

Narrative dropped the ball.

Fuck shock reveals. Even anime gives a sneak peak at the next episode.
