With the release of Shens new skin, his older skins are finally justifed to receive recolored vfx!

So Shens new Infernal skin is the first of his skins with vfx that isn't blue, which is pretty exciting for me, because that means that his old skins could finally get some recolored vfx too!

To give some background information: With Shens visual and gameplay update about 4 years ago, all of his skins got updated too, but they all used his classic vfx (and still do to this day). Riots reasoning behind this was (as far as I remember) that his spirit sword is the key tool for his abilites, and thereby players should be able to spot it as quick as possible in a teamfight…so they avoided changing the color of his spirit sword for clarity reasons, which on the one hand is totally understandable, but on the other hand always raised the question for me why they never had a problem with completly changing up Oriannas ball, since its the same situation...

But all of this doesn't matter anymore, because with the release of Shens new Infernal skin Riot shows that they no longer think that changing the color of his spirit sword would lead to clarity issues. And I totally agree with them! I think that after 4 years players should be able to recognize his spirit sword, even if its not blue!

This brings me back to my original point of this thread: With the clarity issue out of the way, there is no longer a justification for not changing the vfx of Shens old skins! Atleast his Blood Moon, Warlord and Yellow Jacket skins should get some vfx love (I think that Frozen and Surgeon are fine with blue vfx) and that could look something like this:
