Rioter stated that Urgot is the next who will be getting his long awaited VGU after Galio. Just wait for official declaration from the team at the end of this month or the beginning of Feb.
With Urgot and Galio out of the scene that left only

Yes, Miss Fortune, Cassiopeia, Sona, Singed, Alistar, Shen, Maokai, and a few others I'm sure I'm missing need to have legit VUs to accompany their kit updates. It feels super half assed for Riot to say "Aight, thems done!" when they delivered shitty VUs that were just slapping new paint on ugly old rigging and skeletons, with the same outdated voice lines.

Someone who gets it. When I bring this up of champions who need a full proper vgu people say no 'they got a vu and slight kit changes and some gameplay '. I mean come on which champion hasn't and 
has had more changes to him than any other champion yet they still aren't satisfied

and you'll see a complete overhaul of a character
No new splash, no new nerfs or buffs, no little changes to abilities.

It's not going this direction because Urgot is immediately after Galio. This is confirmed, and stated in the OP's post.

But they didn't? They said that Urgot was actually competing with Galio when they were still deciding on who they wanna work on that will come after Warwick (but will be worked on by Team B for VGUs). They said that it was decided that they'll work on Galio after Yorick because he would break the "dark Champion Updates" streak that has been going on since (arguably) Ryze (Whereas Urgot is considered another dark champ) for the most part. Other than that, it was said that they both were very close in terms of potential, but yeah, "Dark vs. Light" was the deciding factor, for the most part.
So that meant that Urgot will almost certainly be worked on in 2017 (unless something goes really wrong internally). Other than, Reav3 said that he thinks it's very unlikely that we'll go through 2017 without an Evelynn VGU, and that both she and Urgot are basically the only ones left in what is called "Tier 1" of champs that need a VGU.
But yeah, further likely candidates will then be from "Tier 2"; I think that, while they're considered "Tier 2", Nunu is very close to "Tier 1", followed by Mundo and possibly Mordekaiser. Then again, I can't not see them going through 2018 (I know, that's a ways off, but still) without a VGU for Pantheon, for his thematic potential, so he might become a higher priority as Warwick had, despite them both arguably not being the most outdated champions. :P

warpenguin5552 votesI think that depends on what the mid season update is. If it's Divers i think or will be after Eve. If it's tanks those 2 wont be started until 2018. In that case it's kinda hard to tell who would be after Urgot and Eve. Maybe like or something, but it's very hard to say.
