Is all the lore that was previously given to a champion being removed in favor of an entirely new lore? Are they just adding to the previous lore that was already established? Or is it just tweaks on the lore that is already there?
Depends on the age of the champion and whether or not they had a league judgement or storyline that related to the Institute of War. All of those champs will get at the very least TWEAKED lore, we don't know how many will get the full 'monte' per se on new lore.
Jax and others that were mostly IoW based storywise are to be expected to get the most re-working.
I think the official stance is still "If it doesn't contradict the new stuff and isn't directly IoW related, it's still canon", like Cass and Kat still being sisters.
