Discrepancy in splash art and the actual champ in game on a skin

Wow I am really confused. I got a challenger/championship not sure which skin on Caitlyn, splash art is vivid pinks and blues, really nice. I get in game and she's totally covered in a dowdy brown get up that looks like something from the 1800's.

Is this usual? you cannot get a true idea of the in game skin from the art advertised?
