So aesthetically, what does everyone think about Corki being a gyrocopter?

Being a gyrocopter...and intentionally hovering so low in the ground that someone with a sword can cut you down.

I don't know why, theoretically Quinn 's stupid R and Anivia holds very similar thematic space. But I think Valor is acceptable because he's supposed to be swooping low to hunt preys on the ground and Anivia spends much of her time standing on the ground. Had Anivia's idle animation be her constantly flapping her wings in place or Quinn's bird be the entire champion and not a temporary thing, they may be just as bad as Corki.

Personally speaking, if he got a rework, I think Riot should have Corki ride on some sort of buggy or other vehicle that doesn't derive it's purpose from something the game can never possibly balance. His Valkyrie can be like a temporary jet pack or rocket boosters that sends him flying over obstacles, but otherwise everything would be the same gameplay wise.

Also, it's more than obvious that Corki is taken directly from DotA's gyrocopter. I hated it back then and I hate him now, both for the same reason.

OBVIOUSLY it's for practical reasons. A flying champion will be beyond OP even if they took extra damage from ranged attacks. But still...I hates it more than than Gollum hates Sam and his cooked fish.

PS - can Valor have his own icon too? I mean, you INTENDED for Quinn and Valor to be a tag-team champion where both of them are just as much a champion as any other...you failed...but that doesn't change the fact that you intended them to be that way.

Corki predates the DotA gyrocopter hero. If anything he was based on the dwarf gyrocopter from ladder, which in turn the gyrocopter hero was based on.

Fire hurts Brand. Cass buys boots. Blitz's fist phases through his allies. Rammus's Tremors hurt flying champs. You can blind Lee Sin. You can silence Sona.

If you gaze into the abyss of video game logic, it gazes back. Some things are just mechanics.
