A visual rework along with icons...splash (placeholder chinese splash for so long really?) and model ofc (tentacle hairs). I wonder what happened to last year's Irelia splash teaser.
Could use perhaps a little more gameplay mechanics, but i won't comment on that.

IIRC Fiora's update art got a huge backlash because people hated it, enough that Riot had to make an official post saying they missed the mark hard and later made changes to fix it up a bit.

Irelia is on the VGU list, pretty high priority aswell IIRC
If they gave Irelia the same treatment they gave Fiora, she'd lack a new voiceover and recall animation. :/ I think Poppy/Yorick is a better comparison and is probably the route Riot wants to take with Irelia as those are the kinds of updates they've been fully committing to lately.
The list is always changing, but only had seven names at the time. Notable omissions were Swain and Akali, both of whom were stated to have been abandoned for roster updates when a larger scale VGU was deemed preferable. There certainly have been rumors that Mordekaiser and Pantheon would eventually get updated, though that may have more to do with Pizza Feet than gameplay. People have been hoping Morgana gets a VU for some time, despite Riot's claim to no longer do simple VU. The whole VU with Kayle movement was suggested by players to justify it as a project. I don't believe there has ever been an official Riot promise on that.
If I had to take a guess on whom is up for VGU in 2017 (two of these have already been declared but the other two are legitimate guessing)...

I'm guessing Evelynn will be one of the announced projects for 2018. I really doubt Singed would be the other. I would prefer it to be Swain, since the VGU threat has excluded him from getting skins for years.
