Aatrox. Can you at least have flashbacks to what he was?

I've been bitching on other threads, I can do so on my own. Separate myself from everyone apologizing for talking bad of the new trox.

I play champs PRIMARILY for the VO. If I don't like the vo for a champ, I WILL NOT EVER play them. I refused to play teemo before Omega squad, I don't like Darius, old swain, vayne, rammus. and more. VO is incredibly important.

I played trox for his VO. I've made it pretty decently known that I HATE the new VO WITH A PASSION. It completely removes the old trox from existence. This being said, I've run into that (paraphrasing) "Old trox went into blade, New trox is what came back out" statement. and will say this. I would be fine with the gameplay changes AND the Visual Work, Hell, I'd be fine with the new vo, If they could just import most of his old lines. "live and be remembered, or die and be forgotten" those kinda things.

I mean, hell, rolling with the logic that the old Aatrox personality is what went into the sword and new Aatrox is what came out. That would even work. A mental flashback to when he was something greater. Undefeated, Untouchable. Then he lost and now is forgotten. Just port over the fucking lines. The delivery would be worse. sure. but at least there would be a ghost of him left behind. Would show some attachment to his previous self....

(for example) Rage against the dying of the light. Tell the new Boris VA to chill a little, and make it a quote on respawn. Hell, to give with your suicidal take on him, Make it something he tells his enemies to do when he kills them. Trying to get them to come back and finish their job.

This battle will be my masterpiece. on pentakill or baron steal. Given I would never hear the line. But at least it would exist. (boris could yell this one any which way)

Live and be remembered, Or die and be forgotten. Surviving a fight with low health and no revive up.

The Rage against the Dying being the most important line. Really. Just put it back in. Find a way dammit. Its important.

I hate to be this guy (i have to tho) but quite honestly i think you are overreacting( like quite a few people the last few days).

New aatrox is just a more wholesome version of the old one abd that is reflected in his voice lines...Now lets try to take a deep breath and examine the situation without putting our nostalgia glasses on : 1) what you propably liked about the old VO was how calm and serious aatrox was right?It had a poetic somewhat melancholic feel to it! New aattox has that as well ! Yea i know , you are propably now thinking that iam mocking you since what you heard in the special interactions video was an angry guy full of emotion..however special interactions are not the only voice lines...in fact his movement lines are for the most part calm sober and even melancholic at times!

  1. Sure some specific lines are gone but now you have a ton of new ones that flesh out the character in a magnificent way...

Edit : i hope you can find beauty in that as well.

Edit 2 : you said yourself that you have already bitched about new aatrox...is there any point behind this threads creation? I mean...you say some pretty heavy stuff like :" i hate the new vo with passion" however nothing new is added to the conversation you just ignite even more hate and controversy!

. Dont get me wrong we all sometimes find it difficult to move forward..nevertheless we must at some point accept change and idealy learn to appreciate what she brings to the table.

I mean, they DID keep "FIGHT! OR BE FORGOTTEN!!" on his ult.

But I feel it. I miss a lot of his old lines too, even if I do adore the new troxy.

All I want for Christmas is for Riot to put back the "WITNESS TRUTH!!" on ulti.

Riot are cowardly and don't have the stones to respond to actual constructive criticism. I've personally torn the femurs from two Rioters posting on the Aatrox rework, and they sheepishly left the thread never to return.

I didn't flame them, simply refuted their poorly thought-out points in favor of new Aatrox.

It isn't the boards being toxic that makes Rioters stay away. They're just cowards. No one should apologize to them.
