Copying what i said on PBE boards, but this needs to be adressed and seen.

Sorry for the clickbait title, i mean they seem really too much the same. I seriously hope this is just placeholder because many people complained about Dark Form being too subtle and i think it might just be 'till @Riot_iZac works on it (he has been promoting effects on twitter but avoiding Dark Form so...fingers crossed) :

Some mild differences only because i couldn't capture at the same exact split second, but you see the stuff. See at the bottom of the post for proof comparison with other forms.

Here is the E where you can see, despite the middle projectile, that the ambiant effects are exactly the same (and that's no coincidence, other forms have it WAY MORE differently) :

Same thing for R, you can clearly see the trail particles around the laser that are unique to those 2 forms :

All other forms have really different effect, water being the most obvious because of the E splash. So i really doubt this is a coincidence.

Here are some other forms below fire & dark for you to see that this is really just the Dark form having the same particles than Fire form, in purple.

As you can see, Water and Magma have their unique particles by FAR. Only Dark Form has this issue being the same as Fire.

Problem : E is too subtle, needs more particles more "shroud" like. It could be the opposite of the light E for the best, but right now it doesn't really appeal as Darkness... For the rest, i don't know tbh.

I don't think Dark Lux is in its final form yet ... there's a note on the PBE saying there are possibly a few more changes to some of the forms. Good job pointing this out, I had a feeling that Dark Lux's particles didn't look as unique as the other models...

you dont really expect riot to make 9 completely different skins and sell them all for 3250 no?

i realize they are just recolors but thats ok as far as i am concerned, i will likely break my 3 years no purchase streak for this skin.

iZac on the PBE boards replied to this post. He's the VFX artist for her, just doesn't have a red name on PBE. Can confirm he's legit!

...honestly i don' t see what do you intend as copypaste. I can see they are very similiar behind the colour change, but is not that intended? They must look similar because those are identical spells. They can have different flourish and sometimes that gets expressed better but they must not change too much dramatically, and in either case it does not look as a copy paste aniway.

They look fine the way they are. It already looks like a great skin and has gone far and above other skins of this tier.

Its just me, but I like the dark version not bein gsuper flashy, or having lots of particle effects, being quiet, silent, and non flashy.
