I too am really looking forward to what Riot comes up with. Their splash art teams are phenominal. The artwork they are doing is really fantastic, and we're getting so much of it. Looking back on it, it's unbelievable how much they have done.
Since the beginning of the splash art update project, they have updated:

Most are absolutely stunning, and I think most can agree that all of them are at least improvements over the originals. I think that's so awesome. And those are just the redone splashes; they've been coming up with so many amazing new skin splashes as well!

RiotReav35 votesCurrently there aren't plans to take these out of the vault temporarily since all his splashes weren't updated so it's not as big of a event. You can get them through hex tech crafting though as well as times we temporarily open the vault.

eg
Ninja's rework(Shen, Ken, Akali) along with sick ninja lore. Order and Chaos: VGU of Morg and Kayle. They need the love visually, and kayle's a lil old now.
Also theres a category of champs in the healtyh/balanced playstyle, but old af textures/models. What is your stratergy for those champs.

Why wouldn't the priority be updating his classic splash art? Nidalee got all of her skins updated except for her classic one. Is Riot trying to incentive people to buy skins more if they can't stand the outdated classic splashes?
