Probably because having us players as Summoner's and the champion's knowing this breaks the fourth wall more than it should. That makes it hard to build a world where the lore actually matters and feels alive.
why do you take this crap so seriously noone from riot even cares so much as you do, and im pretty sure the lore doesnt bring any money lol
