How would the Darkin end the World?

Title basically, we know there’s 5 of them. I like to think they’re gonna try and reintroduce the Rune Wars or create some sort of global conflict. What do you guys think?

They aren't actually an existential threat.

But like most terrible black and red edgy OCs, they take themselves far too seriously.

That..... They will most likely be used as a chaos factor in ionia vs noxus arc...

Varus, last we saw, is hunting for his 'sister' over in Shurima. That's pretty far removed from the Noxus/Ionia troubles. I suspect he'll feature into the conflict with Xerath somehow. Recall, he noted that Shurima (or at least the part he was in) was lush with running water. So this has to be after Azir got rez'd.

That puts a bit of a time stamp on the Darkin War, too. It had to have taken place AFTER the fall of Shurima, since Varus had no knowledge of Shurima ever being anything other than a desolate wasteland.

None of those things make the Darkin an existential threat like the Void or the Black Mist or even the Frozen Watchers turning the whole planet into a snowball. They are, at best, a localized nuisance for Shen to teleport out of nowhere and murder if they threaten balance. A whole army of edgelords got curbstomped last time. What are five of them going to do?

yea but if he wants to keep val under his control he has to trigger his lust for vengence..thats why i find it likely to help ionians during a possible noxus invasion...Also i think that in his current body he is no match for nasus or xerath

I dont know about that... i am not sure if varus said that shurima must be a wasteland by now or that shurima was a wasteland during his time....( to lazy to check :P) also i in his story we see that shuriman magic was used to capture him.....the warrior queen that is refe red to the bio may actualy be the ascendand ancestor of sivir( i can not remember her name..)
