My problems with Sylas' design

What is the purpose of the neck piece? It's attached to nothing in the video, it seems to serve no purpose. And why is he still wearing it in game.

If you are going to make him shirtless, at least add detail somewhere else. His pants look disgustingly plain. But new! somehow, even though he has rags on his feet.

15 years in prison and no tattoos? would certainly add detail to that bare chest. (Full beard but no chest hair? Good genetics i guess)

He looks like if Keanu Reeves was in 50 shades of grey.

He was in a tiny room chained up idk how he would get tattoos like that.

Doomfist from Overwatch is an example of how to do a minimalist design right. Sylas isn't bad but he's missing something

That and his posture is fucking atrocious. That's like how every male kpop star stands, but you know when they're in the real world they pay real men to do basically everything for them that requires any physical effort, because their back would snap in half from standing like that too much.

The neck piece might be similar to Cody's handcuffs in street fighter 4. He can remove it but he just doesn't feel like it. It's not like it really affects him in any way.

Yeah I also feel like his design is a bit plain(except for the chains of course)

ah tattoos? really?? i hate tattos mostly and he was alone in the prison. my idea: ADD CHESTHAIR!

imo a grown man needs to have chest hair and especially during prison. this would give him a more detailed touch even his face is imo REALLY cool already. and maybe a scar or something? i mean i bet he tried to break out during these years many times. - i mean i would.

What Demacian dope of a prison guard thought, "Hmm.. chain this man up. No. wait. Take his shirt off. Then chain him up. .. Good.." locks prison

Or did his skin magically, surging with arcane forces, absorb whatever he was wearing on his top?

I have a feeling that his neck piece is more aesthetic, and less to serve any purpose ingame or in lore, but more to symbolize a metaphor, that while he may break through his chains, he's still contained by the status of mages in Demacia at the moment. It's like how Pyke has his "deathlist" as one of his taunts, but he never actually uses it in game, because it serves to build character.
