And given Trynd's story with Aatrox with that "you're my greatest creation" line, does that mean Trynd's weapon that impales him every time he dies could potentially be one too?

Sounds more metaphorical really. Aatrox's actions created Trynd as he is now, else he wouldn't be like he is.

I believe that line is simply referring to Tryndamere's ult. Tryndamere first used it (in lore) when Aatrox attacked his village, and Aatrox is probably the source of Tryndamere's abilities.

I would say unlikely as it doesn't visually fit the thematic of all the other Darkin weapons. They tend to be a red/black theme. Trynd also doesn't treat his weapon any differently from other general weapon wielding champs. Pretty sure the line is referencing how Aatrox is the Darkin of War and Tryndamere is a warrior leader who fights to the death, and then fights in spite of it.

I don't think all darkins are weapons. I think rhaast is just a unique case. https://youtu.be/3Ny4piDu4W0?t=9m7s at 9:07 that line implies that rhaast was captured and put into the weapon.

Either that, or maybe all surviving Darkins are imprisoned in the weapons, that can be a possibility too. Can be pretty cool if that's the case. I mean, maybe that's why they "survived" the annihilation, by being imprisoned and perhaps forgotten altogether as time passed.

As a side note: How I also like they comment at each other, complement each other's lines and bicker at each other (sometimes with hostility too). Too bad only one of them gets to stay in the end.

Before we get into that let me also point out this line. https://youtu.be/UcW8Rl_0nBE?t=5m13s at 5:13 , he says " And then there were four.... I think? " HE constantly makes remarks about how he is uncertain how many darkins there are. It could be possible that the darkin people speculate in varus's lore might not exist anymore, but fused and become one with varus? there is still so much unclear

Maybe Varus conquered his Darkin and "killed" it. And Rhaast isn't exactly too sure what to make of his presence yet.

Or maybe the one he isn't sure of is addressing to another yet to be revealed Darkin.

Gonna be interesting.
