@Riot, Post Retcon, A RIoter Stated The Champions "Were Still A League Of Legends"!

@Riot, could you please explain in detail how the champions within this game are still part of the "League of Legends"?

When you were retconning the lore, there was a Riot quote regarding the champions that said "they are still a league of legends)". Did that mean anything to you RIot?

I hate to say it, but the title of the game has no in-game meaning anymore. It wouldn't matter so much if we didn't remember how awesome the lore tied into the gameplay pre-retcon.

It just feels like we had the perfect harmony between gameplay and lore, and that it's been purposefully thrown away. It feels pretty bad.

Well let's look at it. League of Legends:

League definition: a collection of people or groups that band together for mutual cooperation or protection/a group of sports clubs that play each other competitively over a period of time

Legend definition: a traditional story regarding a historical event that's not guaranteed to be authentic/a famous or notorious person, especially in a specific field.

So by definition the League of Legends is a game about a group of famous people that band together in the name of mutual cooperation. This works in a gameplay and lore sense since in game they're famous people ripped straight outta the world and plonked right on in to the game and many do indeed band together in the lore for the sake of something important to them, I mean look at the nations of Runeterra and you'll find champions working together for mutual goals a lot of the time.

So the name does in fact make sense.
