@Riot, What is your approach to criticism/(constructive criticism) on your Lore Retcon?

This idea just hit me, and I'm kinda curious.

How do you folks in the narrative department react to the criticism (both positive and negative) involving your lore decisions/retcon?

It feels like the Story oriented developers at Riot are really detached from the players (as it seems we aren't even allowed to know who heads the narrative team), so It would be really cool to hear their thoughts on this.

A lot of the reaction has been ignoring both feedback and criticism.

There wouldn't really be a need to retcon... there were other ways of getting out of the institute of war... With so many horrifying creatures like Nocture, Vel'koz, Hecarim and so much power consentrated at the Institute of war it wouldn't take much for it to erupt and fall into pieces if some of the creatures/champions broke free and went rouge destroying everything Or other options I am sure there are some.... like maybe something political?

Outside of giving an extremely general description of what they have planned and what their current or past troubles would be or have been they don't respond towards detailed criticism or irrational hatred.

"How does he have time to watch all those?"

"Well, he's worked out this technique where he doesn't watch any of them. lt's working out really well for him. Yeah."
