There is a Void champion that is probably slated to be released soon

Couple of hints towards this have been in the recent Targon story.

We know that their are many Aspects Pantheon Leona Diana Taric uniting at the same time because something is coming.

Aurelion Sol has also been called back because something is coming. In both Diana's and Aurelion Sol's lore, they fight against **Void **creatures, particularly, in ASol's lore he comments on there being a type of 'hive-mind' entity that is tearing a rift between dimensions and leading the void, he had to be called to stop it.

Not only is he being called again, but 4 other aspects have manifested at the same time. No other evil faction of Runaterra has been shown to offer resistance against Targon and ASol (Sol even comments on how everyone in runaterra is secretly 'conquered' by Targon and Shurima being the 'Premiere' civilization amongs humans, which likely puts them above the watchers).

So unless a new faction is going to be introduced to pose as threat, this only leaves the Void as a possible adversary to Targon and Aurelion.

I'm more inclined to believe Riot simply knows what the hell the Void actually is more than there's a new Void champion on the horizon.

Though I would love a new Void champion. LOVE IT.

I remember that a rioter actually talked about how they would like to create a sort of swarm-champion and I think that something like this would actually fit nicely into the void, especially as some sort of void hive-mind.

Though I think it is possible that riot merely has the idea of such an important void creature existing, even if they don't plan to make it a champion(heck what if it turns out to be Zz'rot,I mean that thing created portable void portals).

I really hate this new Targon shit, it is serious power-creep in the lore

Considering that this takes place in the "past" relative to where the game takes place, the figure in the void could realistically be any void champ currently on the roster. The biggest contender I would think being Cho'Gath, since he's kinda got that sense of power and immenseness about him and his character. Seems like the kinda guy to laugh maniacally.

I would love it if it was a new void champ though!

Sol's lore didn't say anything about a hive-mind.

It said that he felt an intelligence behind the Void incursion.

Your white blood cells don't have a hive-mind. They simply do their job mindlessly as part of your body.

maaaaaaaybe? Aurelion Sol came back a looooooooong time ago, during original Azir times, I think.

Diana's story did hint at something coming, but I'm not sure it's necessarily happening any time soon.

Didn't Aurelion Sol come back because now he is able to free himself of Targon's yoke?

Anyway, I hope that Taric's Lore and color text will give some more insight.

They have been anticipating a great catastrophe since Freljord, when Gnar was frozen because his rage gene would be useful to battle something, that was coming to this present era in Runeterra
