Lux in the Mid-Year Mage Rework

It mentions in Lux's lore that she is able to instantly reverse-engineer magical spells in her lore, I was thinking this could be an extremely unique twist to Lux in the upcoming rework. This part in her lore made me extremely curious to play Lux but it isn't put into her gameplay at all.

You could change her ult to copy the last mana-costing damaging spell cast near her by allies or enemies, increasing the damage dealt by a % based on her AP, up to a cap. This could make an EXTREMELY fun champion to play as and against.

I mean why have that little tidbit in her lore if you're gonna do nothing with it?

That would be essentially impossible to manage in a teamfight. There are maybe thirty or forty skills flying around in your average 5v5 in the space of a few seconds, so that ult would basically just be a roulette wheel where most of the results are bad. It'd also be a nightmare from an animation perspective: Lux's ult animation makes no sense for, say, Vi's ult.

I think the main issue is determining what would be a "magic" spell as opposed to any other spellcast. Theres no way to tell them apart in game and I dont think you want aatrox ult on lux. Maybe if there was a thing like kindred's target selection. (pick champ to mimick ult, probably make it a bit weaker)

honetly tho, I like lux's ult how it is now

I think it is even weirder how her lore mentions that she uses her light magic to turn invisble(or make others invisible) when her gameplay doesn't have anything like that.

And as for your suggestion: Well aside from the obvious balance and animation issues,I'd also say that just because she can learn these spells rather fast,it doesn't mean that she can master them instantly. Her versions of the spells would likely be inferior to the originals, which is why she sticks with light magic.

Not to mention that not every champion uses magic for their skills and even those that use it might use magic that is simply impossible to use for regular humans(like Xeraths)
