Swirly Icon...thingy.

It popped up in a couple games today. Some weird, blue, swirly thingy above my characters head. Then it vanished. And no one else on my team saw it. It's not some kind of glitch, is it?

It'd be cool if those who had the swirl get some kind of temporary cosmetic or something upon the release.

They probably won't. But this comment made me think of when it appeared over me during ARAM.

I think that would be kinda unfair considering that there is no known method of making that icon appear for certain. So it would be completely up to chance if you would get this "cosmetic" thing or not.

It is linked to the words "They are coming" which seems to imply a new champion. So no, it is not a bug.

Nah, it's completely normal. It was even on the PBE for a few weeks before going to live.

i saw the same thing when i played a game as teemo, i just thought it was an effect for leaving the nexus at the beginning of the game, but no one else got one

You could think of it as something similar to Bard's icon appearing in Summoner's Rift on PBE before his release.
