Unpopular opinion: Qiyana is a waste of the Elementalist (Avatar) fantasy

Qiyana being the strongest elemental mage in Ixtal feels pretty lackluster if you ask me. Her In-Game representation of her elemental skills are just so pitiful, aside from her Q and W (which isn't technically an elemental skill itself) her only real element inspired skill is her ultimate which is just a gust of wind followed by a boom of rocks.

She could have (and should have) been a character who is the master of the elements and can utilise each of them with never before seen proficiency, someone who is highly capable of devastating attacks, creating earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanos, tornados with her magic. It wasn't the case obviously.

In her current state she is definitely outshined by other element users not just a bit but greatly. These are just a few examples of the top of my head: Yasuo, Janna, Nami, Brand, Annie, Taliyah and if we consider lightning and frost as elements Kennen, Anivia, Lissandra and even Volibear can join them.

Well she is the only one to use multiple elements. And I feel like she compares pretty well to the other human mages.

A color story would probably show off some more abilities, but I think her kit already does a good job. Considering that she is an assassin rather than a mage.

Between her ult and things like the potential stealth on her Q or the freeze with the water element, feels like she has plenty of high moments, most related to her elements. Plus we have both Brand and Annie, Janna and Yasuo, plenty of ice-related Champions. Riot has shown they are willing to revisit an element concept if they have the right idea.

I also feel that she doesn't make use of the elements with her whole set. Thing is that if she were to truly embody the whole Elementalist Mage role, she would become something close to Invoker, and be nerfed to oblivion and beyond, Invoker is a big NONO for RIOT
