Ivern Last Champ of 2016?

Curious, title says it all. Think we have time to squeeze in another new champ before the year ends or no? I kind of hope we do xD

Uhm that actually speaks FOR another champion this year since the WW update might come out at the end of this year. I mean the assassin update is supposed to be part of the 6.22 update,which will likely come out in the first week of november,so there'd be still ~1 and a half months for a new champion to come out.

Possible,but in your opening post you ask if they are able to squeeze in anothr champ before the end of the year,so I assumed he was referring to that.

In the end we won't know until he clarifies this :/

I don't think so. There usually isn't another release after World's once the holiday seasons begin.

Not really Illaoi RekSai Kalista Jinx Yasuo were all released after the world championship in their respective release years.

So your point is? In your first post you said,there usually isn't another release after wold's,yet you yourself say that ivern was released after the worlds patch.

And if you look at the past years,you'll notice that they usually release 2 champions after worlds(2015 was the exception here,not the rule)

Not a clue. Could potentially be, but given the somewhat increased cadence of champion releases we might see a sixth this year.

I'd say it is quite likely. Just look at the time intervals between the champs this year: There were less than 2 months between the releases of Jhin & AurelionSol or Taliyah & or Kled & Ivern

The only gap between champion releases this year that was longer than 2 months was between Taliyah and Kled who had still less than 3 months between them.

And given the fact that we still have ~2 and a half months left( a bit less since riot takes a break at the end of the year) there is a good chance for a new champ to come out(no guarantee,but a good chance)

I find it highly unlikely that we'll get another new champion this year. We have worlds and the holidays coming up which usually means less time for actual new releases. Let alone when they usually release a champion it takes about a month for it to be released. We usually get a "sneak peek"/hint of the new champion and that takes a week, then the following week is the teaser, showing the champions,but not releasing them for testing yet, after that week they are finally release for testing and that usually takes two week of testing on the PBE.

I would prefere that RIOT takes time and then comes with another concept as unique as Ivern. I honestly prefere 4 unique Champions each year over 12 generic champions.

You do realise that any champ that comes out would of been in the works for 7-8 months by now. Right? They don't start the next champ once the old one is released, they have 4 or 5 going on at once...

2014 had 6 champions released. 2015 had 5 champions released. 2016 has had 5 champions released so far, and there's about 2 months left. Could be late in the year, could be early next year we see a new champ.

Must say, Ivern is the first new champ I bought right away since season 4...and he is my favorite champ so far. Hopefully, they can release a non-candy king skin for him sometime soon.

Isn't he wonderful? His personality is this chill hippie grandpa tree and I love the new game mechanics they introduced with him. What kind of skin would you want to see for Ivern?

I think some kind of hippy or Grateful Dead type skin for him would be great. Hippy Heimerdinger is pretty nice. Some kind of skeleton tree would be cool. Now my favorite would be like Artic Ivern or something. Maybe make him look like a tree in the winter? Or an ice elemental? And by that logic , maybe even make different elemental versions of him? Or even a futuristic robo-Ivern with a metal golem.Maybe fire ivern with a fire element Rosie, shadow ivern etc etc.

Ivern will be the last Champion of Season 2016, now not sure if he will be the last champ of the year...that depends on if will get any new champs pre-season or just champion updates.

I think we have enough time for 1 more. Next champion is supposedly made around 1 ability riot thought was cool and then they made the rest of the around said ability. pretty excited to find out
