Singed, not just a chemist anymore?

2. ##Why is he involved in building & selling human/machine hybrids?
3. ##What does that mean for Zaun's leading scientist in Chemistry?
4. ##And wasn't making cyborgs a Viktor and Prof. Stanwick thing?

Side note: When I read "Augment bodyguards, turned into chem-tech weapons" I visualized something like this guy in Ekko's release video:

The above quote is the first post-retcon information we have got on the guy, besides the taunt in Yorick's new VO: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/9/9f/Yorick.tauntSinged01.ogg/revision/latest?cb=20160830195036 This taunt makes for a compelling hook but it doesn't shed any light on why he was experimenting with Hextech human & machine augmentations.

So here's where my thinking starts to go AWOL. When the Ekko video was released Riot had confirmed that that steampunk giant was known as a "Vigilnaut" made with Hextech and you would notice that the bodyguards mentioned in the above quote were described as:

Chem-tech weapons.

As in, enhancements with Chemtech could be something else entirely to Hextech? Or is that just a misleading phrase and I'm making things way too convoluted?

##Edit: I do want to emphasis, Riot has yet to confirm that Chem-Tech is in fact different to the assumption of Hextech enhancements. So please stop assuming that it is. That is until Narrative can explain, expand or confirm anything.
