What is this "Flame Level" That Aurelion Sol keep mentioning?

Igotlazy·3/18/2016, 8:49:36 PM·7 votes·2,992 views

When Aurelion talks to other Dragons (Shyvana and the Dragon) he appears to rank them based on some type of "Flame Strength".

Shyvana: "Medium-flame, and that is me being generous."

Dragon: "You call yourself a dragon? You're low-flame at best."

Is there some universal Dragon ranking system based on power?

I'll just leave this headcannon here...

Rank 1 - Brilliant Flame (Power on a Universal Scale) [Aurelion Sol] Rank 2 - Grand Flame (Power on a Planetary Scale) [Ao Shin (assumed)] Rank 3 - High Flame (Power to Destroy a large country) [Strongest of terrestrial Dragons] Rank 4 - Medium Flame (Power to Destroy a city) [Shyvana and above average terrestrial Dragons] Rank 5 - Low Flame (Power to Destroy a couple of buildings) [The Dragon and average terrestrial Dragons] Rank 6 - Weak Flame (Minor property Damage) [Riggle]

Edit: Damn grammar errors :/

It's probably just him making fun of other dragons,by saying their fire isn't that hot.

EDIT: And I think these terms come from cooking.

White flame is the hottest followed by blue yellow orange and red

Charcoal fire 750–1,200 Methane (natural gas) 900–1,500 Bunsen burner flame 900–1,600 (depending on the air valve, open or close.) Propane blowtorch 1,200–1,700 Candle flame ~1,100 (majority), hot spots may be 1300–1400 Backdraft flame peak 1,700–1,950 Magnesium 1,900–2,300 Hydrogen torch Up to ~2,000 MAPP gas 2,020 Acetylene blowlamp/blowtorch Up to ~2,300 Oxyacetylene Up to 3,300

Dicyanoacetylene, a compound of carbon and nitrogen with chemical formula C4N2 burns in oxygen with a bright blue-white flame at a temperature of 5260 K (4986.85 °C, 9008.33 °F), and at up to 6000 K in ozone.[7] This high flame temperature is partially due to the absence of hydrogen in the fuel (dicyanoacetylene is not a hydrocarbon) thus there is no water among the combustion products.

Rank 4 - Medium Flame (Power to Destroy a city) [Shyvana and above average terrestrial Dragons] Rank 5 - Low Flame (Power to Destroy a couple of buildings) (The Dragon and average terrestrial Dragons]

No man, you got it wrong:

The real ranking would be like this:

Rank 0 - Brilliant Flame (Godlike Dragon ) [Aurelion Sol] Rank 1 - Grand Flame (A Super Powerfull dragon who is Smart and with tons of experience) [Ao Shin, Ebonmaw maybe] Rank 2 - Large Flame (A dragon with a lot of experience and power) [Ao Shin, Ebonmaw] Rank 3 - Full Flame (The average dragon ) [The Dragon Shark of Fizz Lore, the Sea Dragon of Wu Lore, the Drake that killed the Daddy of Shyvana, the Daddy of Shyvana, etc] Rank 4 - Low Flame (A dragon that has not reached his full power yet) [The Summoner Rift Dragon] Rank 5 - Medium Flame (Not an actual flame, just the half of it... a halfbreed or a "teen" dragon) [Impurebloods like Shyvana, "Teeneager" Dragons] Rank 6 - Quarter Flame (The initial spark of the flame, a newborn dragon) [Riggle and the Dragon of Dragon Trainer Lulu]

It's dragon-humor...

Anyway I don't think Ao Shin would have been Grand Flame. Storm and wind powers can be strong but probably not strong enough to cause complete global catastrophe. Also Udyr is implied to have encountered / fought Ao Shin when Udyr reaches max power

It's how likely they are to ragequit and AFK the game. Dragons are bad about that.

So what happens when Sol gets wrecked by Shyv or executed by dragon?

Sonicblaster333/30/2016, 8:03:11 PM1 votes

When he says "Medium Flame" to Shyvana, I'm guessing he is judging her actual fury/strength, or maybe how strong her fire is. If not, then I'm sure he is saying she isn't the greatest of dragons, but not below any of them either. Maybe if she was a full dragon, he would be a bit more accepting of her.

It's likely just how Aurelion Sol judges how worthy the pale imitations of him are worthy his time and attention. Terrestrial dragons are not so directly related to Aurelion as they are sort of nature conforming to the way natural forces work, like how the logarithmic spiral can be seen in naturally occuring spirals, so if people are gonna lump terrestrial dragons in with Aurelion, he's damn well gonna have something to say about it, and he'll say whether he thinks these dragons are worthy of being considered of the same class of being as himself.

City to country? What is with these power scalings, they are exponentially exponential!

He calls Dragon ''low flame'' when he can't even solo him ahahha
