Welcome to Hextech.

Hextech is a mix between technlogy and magic, Graves only uses gunpowder foe his attacks...

Actually it is a hextech shotgun.

Really? Well I didn't know that... But is this a reason for some of its pieces floating? x)

GreenLore1 votes

Nah it is just weird

Not really sure why they made it like this...

Was it confirmed as hextech? Wouldn't it make more sense that it would be a gun made in Bilgewater?

One of the main draws of Bilgewater is the illegal trafficking of hextechnology.

Alright but why does it still floats x)

Don't know if you were around when there was the Bilgewater event for Gangplanks rework. They released several stories along with it and in one of them, Graves' shotgun got destroyed. That was a teaser for Graves' update, too.

In the end of one of the stories, Graves tells Twisted Fate that he knows a gunsmith in Piltover to get a new one. So his gun got crafted in Piltover. Very likely there was hextech involved in the process. ^^

I completely forgot about that, wow. But speaking extremely strictly hextech would refer to weapons with a Brackern gemstones as a source of magic, such as Camille and Orianna's hearts, Ekko's Z drive and Jayce's hammer. Even Vi upgraded to hextech and it was mentioned that Caitlyn's rifle is hextech. Or are you speaking in general referring to Piltover tech as 'hextech' (I am asking because I know people do this sometimes, myself included).

From the Piltover-Zuan update in Dec-Jan gone we saw that there exists hextech, chemtech and clockwork mechanics and maybe more. And Graves's shotgun is unlike both Caitlyn rifle and the chemtech shotgun we saw in the Warwick cinematic. Edit: Now I have a weird feeling that Heimerdinger or Ziggs is the mentioned gunsmith.
