I dunno (and I don't have the inside secrets either, so I'm just guessing) but it looks a lot like an aggregate fruit to me - in fact, it looks a lot like certain varieties of white raspberry, or even golden raspberry.
Of course, added to that, it does seem to have a certain... glow to it, which as you might imagine by the name, I am in favor of. ;)
I strongly suspect that bluey-green is associated with healing, and it's not too overpowering a contrast in the river, so that's where the color is from. I could be wrong though!
I agree that I was a bit confused they were called honeyfruit, with that color - and if it were up to me, I might suggest the blobs on the fruit be more regularly shaped (like a raspberry).
