"New recall SFX and VO processing!" These are still works in process, and Rioters are kinda going on holiday. Check back later this month or next and we'll see where we are at.

1350's still don't "Change" the voice like 1820s or 3250s, is what I think they meant. A completely new voice over rather then just effects processed over the current voice.

I know I could be jumping the gun on the VO thing, but what I heard in the video sounded like the final product (aside from his attack VOs). he's getting slightly altered voice (like his Underworld skin) and maybe has one or two extra lines while he's moving (heard something about " you can't make friends" at the beginning) and that's about it. Plus the fact that no other Lunar Revel skin to date has gotten a completely new VO doesn't help the matter much.

That's still a change in VO... I actually just played around with the skin on the PBE not knowing they put an effect on it and I thought it was a new voice doing the same lines. His voice is deeper without sounding too heavily modulated. That's beside the point though. You aren't going to get a whole new set of lines and new voice work on a 1350 skin. That tier has voice effects/modulation (as is done in the new skin) and occasionally previously unused voice lines at most. Completely new VO just isn't a 1350 feature, so what are you expecting?

honestly I was expecting his next skin to be legendary so he would get some unique interactions and a new dance animation. I like this skin and even though it's 1350 RP, it looks like they added as much as they could possibly think of adding without going into 1820 RP territory (even added that amazing homeguard animation), but with this being his 5th skin and him not having the popularity of a champ like Ahri or Riven , the chances of him getting another skin, let alone one in the 1850 RP range is slim to none.

Lol Ahri doesn't even have a 1350 skin Wukong is getting his second. Ahir has 2 750 skins, Wukong only has one. His skins are also similar to Rivens in quality and price, excluding championship Riven which is only popular because its Limited.

Honestly 1850 skins don't have much to do with champion popularity anyways, champions like Annie, Corki, and Heimer have them and their not exactly the most popular champions.

I really don't see the problem it could be worse, Ezreal has one skin above 750 and its an ultimate. And Le Blanc had to wait years for a 975. For the amount of champions that don't even have 1 1350 skin be happy that Wukong is getting a second.

That doesn't seem like Lunar Revel to me. That looks a little too... solar and lunar themed.

Think about it, last year we got Warring Kingdoms Nidalee and Katarina, and Firecracker Jinx. Where's the Chinese New Year theme?

Targonian lore event confirmed?

Edit: I guess Morg's kinda looks like Asian wear. I'm not a fan of Cait's though. Wukong's looks really cool though. I made myself sad, I was expecting Pantheon to finally get VU'd.

Well each year, each event usually has a slightly different tone

Take the Harrowing this year, it was full of ZOMBIES, where as last year it was more of a ghostly theme. Then the lunar revel usually has an Asian touch with other feelings mixed it.

The previous lunar revel skins weren't all exactly the same. They each follow their own themes afterall, such as the Warring Kingdoms, Dragonblades, then the currently more champion specific themes (lunar goddess, jade dragon, panda, ect) which they can also expand upon. So each of them have their own kind of twist on the Chinese New Year theme.. That's why two of these ones are the more like Ghoulish wraith skins and then a more traditional feeling skin.

They went back to the roots of Wukong's design inspirations and made a Sun Wukong skin. I'm not complaining; this is awesome!

Ah Lunar Revel...i remember when i joined League (Valkyrie song rolls)...it was 2014...i looked at the 2 purchasable icons and i thought to myself sniff i'm sorry...it's just...a bit emotional for me..i thought..thought they were permanent icons, so i didn't gather 1500 IP and let them go away..permanently.

I'm mostly saying this because i collect all kinds of non-RP-purchasable icons.

The Morgana skins looks kind of sloppy and mushy to me. I love the Cait skin, I would buy it if I played her more often and didn't already have Safari Cait. Wu Kong skin is dope, wish I played him.

Well they are still a work in progress, so they will make adjustments to them after they've read through things on the holidays. I actually think she looks pretty cool myself, though I wishing she wouldn't get another limited/legacy skin, since the last Morg skin was her Vict skin so it's not like everyone could rush out and get that... then now this Lunar skin will be legacy so it's only gonna be out for the duration of the event.

Are these for sure Lunar Revel skins? It seems super early seeing as feburary is chineese new year, these are more solar/astral themed than lunar revel, and if we all remember this years Harrowing, they realeased Spirit Fire Brand and Demon Vi a patch before the harrowing.

They are, it was confirmed on Twitter https://twitter.com/RiotKateyKhaos/status/678335008067555329 plus two of them say Lunar in the name which they have done with previous skins (Lunar Goddess Diana). Lunar Revel usually doesn't match up 100% to the chinese new year, as the skins tend to be released at the end of January.

They are the Lunar Revel skins. The PBE site get the info straight from riot. When Spirit Fire Brand and Demon Vi were on the PBE they didn't list them as Harrowing skins and made it clear the skins for Pantheon Jinx and Nunu were definitely the skins for this year's "harrowing".

Could someone explain the lunar wraith skins to me, I don't quite "get it". Like whats their theme,what are they inspired by, what exactly is the fantasy behind them?

Yeah I'd say it could have something to do with an event they may be planning but then I'd also have to guess all the content isn't on the PBE yet in that case.

The new Morgana skin looks awful. Almost every aspect of it seems wrong, out of place, and miscolored to me. I main Morgana and this skin just makes me very sad because it means no actual good new skin for her for a long time. As others have said her model really needs an update. But even with a good new model I'm pretty sure I'd never even consider buying this skin. To me it's the worst skin Riot has made in many years. That's extremely disappointing because I've recently been hoping for a sweet new Morgana skin.

Nothing about the skin seems to make any sense. Why does her recall include wolf sounds? What are those weird things replacing her wings and why do they have such jerky movements? Why does she have some gaudy head dress that doesn't match her hair or outfit at all? Why do the textures on her skirt and spells seem like something from the year 2000? Why are her skirt and textures a mix of burgundy, purple, and vomit? I really don't wanna be mean in my dislike of this skin but I just can't help it, it's THAT bad. The theme of the skin seems to be mismatched everything. I want to like the jade green hands and hair things and little bits of jade on her spells but I can't because there are too many completely different colors and elements that don't work together at all. If it were up to me I'd scrap everything but the bits of jade and start over from there.

The Caitlyn skin seems nice. Has a good serpent/fang feel to it. The VO and sound effects being unchanged is a little jarring though.

The Wukong skin seems cool. Love the 2d cloud and clear Monkey King look and feel. Again though the VO doesn't fit and is kind of jarring.
