Is the mage update going to have any level of VU in it ?
Of the 6 champions that are being updated, only Vel has no VU needs. Are there plans for any sort of visual changes , as small as they may be to these champions ?

Probably not. The other champions didn't get it. I think if any of them do need one, Cass needs it the most. Her hands are to large.
Well let's look back at the prior class updates: Marksman and Juggernauts
Juggernaut changes:
- Garen recieved some VFX for his Judgement passive.
- Darius got some VFX and SFX for Noxian Might.
- Skarner got a new model added to him that appears in the game, complete with its own VFX, SFX and animations.
- Mordekaiser got a VFX update across many of his abilities to make his abilities more visually telegraphed.
Marksmen changes:
- Graves got a new ability, and so that had to be given VFX, SFX and animation work.
- Quinn's ult was changed, and required entirely new animations.
- Caitlyn recieved some new animations for her Piltover Peacemaker.
- Corki got new visual effects and a new model added for him in the form of The Package.
- Miss Fortune got some VFX for her new passive Double Tap.
- Corki got...enhanced VFX on his Bio-arcane barrage? I think.
Going off of those it's safe to say that any visual updates happening to these champions in the mage update will be light, and you'll likely see very little difference unless it's absoluetly needed, as was the case with Mordekaiser.
